A social entrepreneur is “society’s change agents, creators of innovations that disrupt the status quo and transform our world.” It’s also identified as “individuals with innovative solutions to society’s most pressing social problems” who “find what is not working and solve the problem by changing the system, spreading the solution, and persuading entire societies to move in different directions.”
Tom’s shoe company is a great example of this. Did you know if you buy a pair of Tom’s shoes, they donate one to a person in need, usually in a third world country. We are adopting this model inside Tiny Town Texas by creating affordable housing communities as well as separate transitional housing communities for the homeless.
